Self-Denial Resources
What is the focus for Self-Denial 2025?
Every year, Self-Denial gives us a valuable opportunity to unite with Salvationists around the world, to share the love of Jesus and to care for people who are disadvantaged and in need. This year, our focus is on the life-changing work in the Indonesian territory. We will be telling the stories of people who have been helped by The Salvation Army, as well as hear from the people who make this possible. Indonesia is the fastest growing territory in terms of membership, so we will be sharing stories of growth and how they are sharing the good news.
What resources are available for Self-Denial 2025?
Five films exploring how The Salvation Army is supporting life-changing work in Indonesia are available to download below.
In addition to the films, the following resources are available at the bottom of this webpage:
- Poster and leaflet
- Personal collection boxes and envelopes
- Prayer point PowerPoint slides based on themes mentioned in each weekly video
- An existing sermon outline to understand what Self-Denial is and why we do it
A new reflection video including clips from across the series will be available soon. This video should be used during the alter service, it will ensure the whole congregation can partake in this time.
We really hope and pray that as these resources are used in your worship services this Self-Denial, your corps will be encouraged to support the international mission of The Salvation Army.
