If you witness, suspect or are told directly that a child, young person or adult is being harmed or is at immediate risk of harm you should contact the Police on 999.

If your concern is in relation to The Salvation Army, please contact the Safeguarding Department and your Divisional Headquarters.

This guide has been written to help leaders plan and deliver the new Safeguarding for Everyone video to your local congregations and groups. Please download and read this guide before showing the videos. It also includes the text for the Safeguarding Prayer.

Please use these slides when showing the new Safeguarding for Everyone videos. The videos can be embedded in the presentation and there is a slide for you to enter the names of your local safeguarding and deputy safeguarding leads. The slides can be rearranged if you would prefer to show the prayer at the end of the presentation.

Corps have been sent the following printed materials:

• A2 safeguarding posters
• 4Rs poster
• 4Rs cards to be handed out when showing the new video

Additional copies of these resources can be obtained from your Divisional Headquarters.

Please complete the poster below with your local safeguarding contact details and display it in a prominent place visible to the public alongside one of the new A2 safeguarding posters wherever possible. 

The information required will already be on the We Want to Hear leaflet, which should now be removed.
