Prayers of hope

We will pass on your prayers to our anti-trafficking coordinators, who have direct contact with trafficking survivors around the world.

• 'God, please bring about a transformation in the lives of those who take advantage of others. May they see the wrong they are doing and may their hearts be flooded with your light.'
• 'Lord, you are a God who heals, and you can bring recovery even out of the most distressing situations. Please help survivors of slavery to fully recover in mind, body and soul. Lord, please heal them thoroughly from any distress. May their minds and hearts be at peace with the balm of your love and mercy. All according to Your will. Amen.'
• 'Dear Lord, thank you that you know and deeply love every victim of slavery. I pray that all victims would have a sense of the care that you have for them. Please be with those who are still trapped in slavery – give them strength in their hardship, comfort for their sorrows and freedom from their chains. Lord, please be with those who have escaped or have been freed from slavery – give them the help that they need as they work through the trauma that they’ve experienced, and give wisdom to anyone who’s supporting them to know how best to aid them. Amen.'
• 'Lord, break the chains that bind these people. Lord, would you move by your mighty power to free all who have been trafficked. Break the schemes and the machinations of all those who are trying to enslave people. Let all their organisation fail. Set the captives free Lord. Come Lord Jesus.'

The International Day of Prayer for Victims of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking takes place on Sunday 22 September 2024.
