The All Terrain Podcast: Episode 38
Phil Wall
Host Jo Taylor is joined by Phil Wall for this month's hypothetical hike.
Phil began working life as a London policeman and came to faith at the age of 19. In 1990 he began working for The Salvation Army and launched the Mission Team, which he led for the next decade. During that time, he also led a team that planted Raynes Park Community Church and launched a number of programmes and missional initiatives, including the Roots event.
In 2000, Phil co-founded WeSeeHope with his wife Wendy. The programme has served nearly 800,000 people and has raised over $30 million to help vulnerable young people learn skills to build their futures. To help facilitate the growth and development of the charity, Phil has been serving and coaching corporate leaders across industry sectors all over the world.
As part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee New Year's Honours list, both Phil and Wendy were honoured with MBEs for their work in Africa and linked business innovation, which were presented to them by King Charles.
Phil and Wendy have been married for 38 years and have three adult children. In 2023 they are planning to move to the USA for a few years to support the work of WeSeeHope USA.
Phil loves curry, rugby and golf.
