Listen: Easter Day meditation
Salvationist Radio shares an Easter Day meditation as we reflect on the hope of eternal life offered through Jesus' resurrection.
Jesus has risen.
- Read Mark 16:1-7
Take this time to simply be in Jesus’ presence. Praise him for his sacrifice and the hope of eternal life.
There in the ground his body lay,
Light of the World by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave he rose again!
And as he stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am his and he is mine –
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
(SASB 861)
Knowing that Christ was alive transformed the lives of those who followed him – the same should be true for us. The Easter story is not just for Easter, it's for every day. Think about how you could live that out in your daily life to transform those around you.
Death could not hold you, the veil tore before you,
You silenced the boast of sin and grave.
The heavens are roaring the praise of your glory,
For you are raised to life again.
('What a Beautiful Name')
Hallelujah. Amen.
