What a joyful end to Together 2024!
The new lieutenants were warmly welcomed to the afternoon session with cheers, flags, banners and air horns.
Host Major Mark Sawyer (William Booth College) helped to create a party atmosphere in a meeting that featured dance, a dramatised Bible reading and music from the staff sections and a contemporary worship group formed for the weekend.
Territorial Leader Commissioner Jenine Main challenged everyone to take their everyday lives and offer them to God, as she reflected on Exodus 3 and Romans 12.

Over lunch, teenagers came together to play card games, while others had the final opportunity to meet teams from Territorial Headquarters, William Booth College and beyond.

The Defenders of Justice are now Salvation Army officers with the rank of lieutenant!
In a moving meeting of prayer, testimony and dedication, with spoken word and singing in English and Welsh, Territorial Leader Commissioner Jenine Main conducted the ordination and commissioning of 12 cadets.
Territorial Leader Commissioner Paul Main gave a Bible message in which he affirmed that the call from God to defend justice applies to each one of us (see Micah 6:6–8 and Amos 4:24).

Meanwhile, nearly 30 children explored the theme True Story, spending time talking about different Bible stories and having lots of fun and games!
