Design a Christmas card and win an Entertainer voucher
Amy Buddle
Amy Buddle explains how you can enter this year’s Christmas card competition.
Last year, we teamed up with Kids Alive! to run our first ever Christmas card competition. We asked readers to design a Christmas card that would be used on our e-card platform, Don’t Send Me a Card, as well as being featured as the front cover on the magazine’s Christmas issue.
The Entertainer kindly donated gift vouchers, which we gave out to the top three card designers and to the best entry in each age category. We were overwhelmed by the response and received more than 100 superb entries!
Our overall winner was Lottie, aged 8, who sent in a gorgeous design with a message we can all get behind (see image above).
Upon hearing the news, Lottie’s mum told us she started crying with joy! We were then able to send Lottie and her family the Christmas issue of Kids Alive!, which she read with her mum and grandma on Christmas Eve. It doesn’t get much more festive than that!
Lottie told us: ‘I bought a Rainbow High doll, a Batman Batcave and some slime with my voucher. I felt really happy to win and see my picture online! The Batcave was a big toy and I made it myself with the instructions.’
Do you know a young artist who would love to follow in her footsteps and be the designer of this year’s Salvation Army e-card?
