No One Alone

Transforming Loneliness and Social Isolation

In 2023, there were over 12,000 recorded interactions at corps across the UK and Ireland linked with loneliness and social isolation. This topic was the second highest issue where corps were supporting people within their communities.

The impacts vary based on individual social needs, and therefore our response must aim to build genuine relationships and create connections. It is a huge topic that affects so many people of every age across the country. Data often highlights that loneliness and isolation has strong links with premature death and other severe health conditions. These resources aim to help you to intentionally and effectively tackle loneliness and social isolation in your local area with the goal that no one feels alone.

On these pages you will find data-informed approaches to support the response in your area. This includes:

  • Findings to deepen your knowledge to make your response more effective.
